MY WINDOWS ICON AND EVERYTHING ON MY TASK BAR WONT OPEN

Desk top and iconsplus task bar disappeared last week.

Last week all my desk top icons and task bar disappeared. After much searching I finally got the task bar back but have no ideas on how to get my desk top with all the icons back. Cannot even find the recycle bin now. Also lots of weird things happening
with browser windows and their display. Please help.

In Windows 10 EDGE is the primary browser, you can also use the Internet explorer.

To pin internet explorer to taskbar follow the steps.

Open Microsoft Edge

• 
  Click on this icon “…” at the right corner of the Edge at the top.
  
• 
  Select open Internet Explorer.
  
• 
  Right Click on Internet Explorer in taskbar bar.
  
• 
  Click on Pin this program from taskbar.
  

For windows icon issue please follow the steps.

• 
  Right click on taskbar and Select task manager
  
• 
  Find windows Explorer right click on it.
  
• 
  Click on End task don’t close the
  task manager, please stay on that page.
  
• 
  Click on file and select
  Run new task
  
• 
  Type “explorer.exe”

What are you seeing on screen at the moment? Eudora - appears to work normally

You could try powering off the computer manually, wait 10 minutes, then start it again.Done. Slow opening. Desk top appeared briefly.

Is this a laptop or computer? Laptop Pavilion dv7

Were you able to see the Sign in screen then log in? Yes

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc The list of tasks appeared in small print top left.

Click File > Run new task Can't find "File"

Type: explorer.exe presumably need "File"

Hit Enter
