Windows 10: My windows key no longer works, how can I fix this?

It was like this for awhile but it never really bothered me until now, I just want to know how to fix this issue. At the start of the year it was working normally but all of a sudden it no longer works, I can click it multiple times it does nothing.I even tried to hold FN+Windows for 5 seconds and nothing I did sfc / scannow, it said nothing was wrong with my system integrity. Can someone help me with this situationLaptop: Lenovo ideapad Z580

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.

  Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)

Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:
