Windows 10: My windows laptop doesnt let me alt tab between fullscreen applications anymore

Ive had this laptop for about 4 months and its worked perfectly until yesterday where alt-tabbing into fullscreen applications is extremely difficult. Alt tabbing still works for normal non fullscreen applictations like browsers. most times for fullscreen apps like video games it flashes the application then doesn't switch into it. Please help me because Microsoft has since removed the ability to livechat with an agent and easily have them fix my problem. no numbers work either they all lead to forums which dont answer my issue. Thank you.

alt + tab not working

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.

 

alt tabbing increases system performance?

Skyrim doesnt work correctly you alt tab, but if you alt tab to it again while the screen is black, it loads up with the windows cursor over the top. If i repeatedly do this, eventually it fullscreens properly without issues. Slightly weird.

 

What is the "magic" of alt+tab?

run in borderless windowed mode, and avoid that requirement of Alt+Tab. it looks the same as fullscreen, but it will fixed issues tied with running in Fullscreen.
