Windows 10: my windows laptop keeps asking me for my wifi password over and over again.

hello. this is julius scott speaking, im on my chromebook right now but i got a problem yesterday on my windows 10 laptop. it kept asking me for my wifi password when i tried connecting to it. i already tried entering my wifi password, right? and it kept asking for it again and again until i had enough and i was forced to temporay move to my chromebook because of this. this is pretty much all i can give for now. i am asking you guys this because this was pretty much my only other option left. so how do i fix this? pls answer asap and uhh yeah. thanks

Wifi keeps asking for password

Wifi keeps asking for password everytime i shut down my computer. Someone in my company took my computer after it didnt connect to company network and did something to connect i dont know what it is. Even though i searched for solutions it didnt work for me.

 

How can I find the password for my Windows 10 laptop?

I found a solution to my problem. What I did was:

1. Open Network & Sharing Center on the laptop.
2. Click "Change advanced sharing settings"
3. Expand the "All Networks" item.
4. Change "Password protected sharing" from On to Off.

Now when I click my laptop name in File Explorer > Networks, it just shows my shared folder without asking for a network credentials password. This is how it used to work before.

new windows 10 laptop won't connect to home wifi, asks for username and password

I have been trying to connect my laptop (ASUS VivoBook, windows 10) to my home's internet for the past day. We use Virgin Media and on all other devices you only have to put in the password, yet on here it asks for the username and password. I've tried many
combinations of SSID and password, and WPS PIN but nothing works.

Have tried:

• manually connecting to network in settings (message appears when click connect saying "sorry, things has changed since you last tried to connect, we need some additional information" + asks for network security key which I input to no avail)
• 'forget' network and try to reconnect
• updating network adapters
• connecting to other points of wifi (works perfectly using my ipad's hotspot)
• restarting router (wifi works for an hour or too yet lose connection when in standby/of its own accord)
• made sure windows 10 is as up to date as possible

any idea whether this is an issue with my laptop or the router and any solutions?
