    My Windows Laptop thinks right arrow key is held down sometimes


    Hi! As you read, my PC has been having that weird problem. I have no idea how it happened, but it started doing it about a week ago. It's very annoying, and makes it hard to do normal things like typing. My only solution is press the right arrow key when it happens, which stops it for a bit. I have shut down my PC and restarted it, neither of which worked. I would appreciate it if someone helped me, maybe they have had the problem and fixed it and could tell me.

    Computer has left arrow key constantly 'held down'

    When I use the laptop, whenever a situation occurs where the left arrow key would have an action, the computer seems to have this key held down.

    To explain (that wasn't very clear), if I'm on Facebook photo viewer, the arrow keys can be used to move to the next or previous photo. However, it feels as if the left arrow key is constantly down, as the viewer scrolls through all the photos. Another example
    is that in any text field, the cursor runs through the text to the end.

    This basically makes any text input impossible as I cannot go back to correct things.

    This doesn't happen in perhaps the first few minutes of the laptop turning on, which suggests to me that it is software-related rather than hardware. Also, I have tried switching to USB keyboard and the problem still occurs.

    I am running Windows 10 on a Dell Ispiron15.

    down arrow key stopped working

    My razor lycosa down arrow key decided to not respond at some point today. The other ones work and so does the numpad arrow if i turn off the numlock. Sounds like its just broken and im screwed, but any suggestions?

    Hi Laura,.

    I suggest you to check if the following steps helps to resolve the issue.

    • Right click on the Windows key and Go to control panel.
    • On the upper right corner change the view by to small icon.
    • Click on mouse.
    • Then click on ‘wheel’ tab.
    • Set the values for horizontal and vertical scrolling.

    and see if it helps to resolve the issue.
