My windows media player just came up as corrupt and the fix deleted ALL my music, how can I get it back please?

4. Right click and select delete the music files or folder.

Faulty Windows Media Player

Windows Mesdis Player developed a fault (Played jerky an missed bits) so I down loaded Media Player 10.

It's no better. Any suggestions (I run Windows 98)

Windows Media Player is listed in All apps > under alphabet W but not under Windows Accessories.
