    My windows Recovery enviroment does not work no matter what i do


    Hi there i have been trying to reset my pc for the longest time when i try to reset it i get an error "could not find recovery enviroment" i have tried everything for example reagentc /enable does not work it gives me a "REAGENTC.EXE: Unable to update Boot Configuration Data.". The winre file is in my recovery folder along with reagent.xml i have tried using iso to fix the issue but again that does not work here is what i get in reagentc /info Windows RE status: Disabled Windows RE location: Boot Configuration Data BCD identifier: 48cd8dd6-6a81-11ec-9a35-309c23624f26 Reco

    windows 10 "could not find the recovery enviroment"

    I upgraded my asus transformer to windows 10 and now want to reset the pc to get rid of all the rubbish I had accumulated over the year. but when I go to windows reset it comes up with 'could not find the recovery enviroment'. If I try to restart with
    the recovery usb I then get asked for the key, which I no longer have. help!

    Windows 10 cannot find recovery enviroment

    Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for posting in Community.

    We understand your concern and we will provide the assistance required to resolve the issue.

    As you have specified that you cannot launch Windows Recovery Environment, I would suggest that you create a Media Creation Tool via USB and then Rest your tablet. Once you reset Win RE will automatically get fixed.

    Download the Windows 10 ISO and create a Media Creation tool and then perform
    Reset.

    Refer to the following link:

    Download Windows 10

    (Refer to the section "Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool
    " in the above article for creating the tool).

    Once you have the installation media, follow the steps:

    • Start your computer from the installation media. Insert the USB stick and restart your device. When you see the 'Install Windows' page, tap or click 'Repair your computer' link to start the Windows Recovery Environment.
    • In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the
      Choose an option       screen, click 'Troubleshoot'.
    • Click, Advanced Options and then click on
      Reset.
    • After this complete the repair and see if you are able to boot in to your computer.
