Windows 10: My windows sign on pin keeps saying incorrect pin even when the pin is correct

My windows sign on pin isn't working. I have used all combinations I had and all of them don't work even when I used my actual pin to sign in but it just doesn't work. I tried signing in with the password option but it doesn't show any forgot password option as well.

Log-in Pin is incorrect after Anniversary update


After the Windows 10 Anniversary update, when I try to sign in with my pin, it says the pin I entered is incorrect.
I know it is the correct pin number. It's the same pin I've used since installing Windows 10.
I have to sign in using my password. I want to go back to using my pin, but I can't change the pin, since don't know what it thinks my old pin is. I understand others are having the same problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is possible that the PIN set in an earlier build does not work after reinstalling Windows 10. To better assist you, we'd like clarify few things:

• Which build and version of Windows 10 is installed on your computer?
• Which build and version of Windows 10 are you using before reinstalling Windows?
• Have you tried resetting your PIN?
• Did you get any error messages after you verified the PIN you entered?

PIN incorrect Windows 10

Windows 10 says that my PIN is incorrect but I'm 100% sure it's the correct pin, the one I've always used
