Windows 10: My windows won't let me verify my Microsoft account

Dear reader,Recently I updated my password because I couldn't get in my outlook. Now that I can access my outlook i wanted to start up my windows and acces my Xbox game pass. It asks me to verify my account. But when i press to very it won't open up to let me verify. I got the same problem when i go to verify my account from the windows settings.Can somebody plz help me resolve this problem so that I can very my Microsoft account.With kind regards,Anthony

cortana won`t talk to me

• Check and verify if Cortana is activated?
• Does Cortana search and gives any output/result on screen?
• Is the Language and region settings set to valid value?
• Check and verify if Cortana available in your region?

Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to Settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.

Verifying and 'add a microsoft account'

Also, I would suggest you to switch current Microsoft User Account to Local Account and then create new user profile and then try signing into that account using your Microsoft account and check if
that helps. Please follow the steps given below.

How to update windows Live Accounts into Local Accounts in windows 8.1

  First go to the Start Menu and start typing “Account” you will find the option “Your account settings”
  
• 
  Click and launch the setting page.

  Click on start menu and go to account settings.

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown
