  1. My wireless mouse resets its DPI randomly

Hello and I'm having trouble with my mouse, which is a HyperX Pulsefire Dart, and it goes like this: when I'm using it wirelessly, it will sometimes reset its DPI to 800, and I personally like using it at 8000 and so I changed it via HyperX's windows app, NGenuity. However, I had to turn down the mouse speed via Window's mouse configs. What I find it curious is that it won't happen when I'm just scrolling and whatever, but when I'm gaming. This is certainly annoying for obvious reasons, it seems like the mouse just goes back on 800 DPI and since I lowered the speed in my PC's configs, it gets r

    Logitech Wireless Mouse

    Hi Ken,

Not working wireless mouse could be due to the following:

    • Outdated device driver
    • No device driver installed
    • Faulty wireless mouse receiver

We would like to know some information to better isolate the issue:

    • Have you done any changes (like updating your Windows) on your computer prior to the issue?
    • Have you tried using using your wireless mouse on other computer and checked if the issue persists?
    • Have you tried updating your wireless mouse driver?

For initial troubleshooting steps, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how to run Windows troubleshooter:

    • Type troubleshoot in the search box and press Enter.
    • Select Hardware and Devices, then click
      Run the troubleshooter
      .

If the troubleshooter didn't work, you can check this
    article
about updating your wireless mouse driver.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Wireless mouse "driver is unavailable" issues

    Hi,

The error Driver is unavailable means that there is no available driver installed for your mouse that’s why it is not working. We suggest that you check the mouse driver from the device manager. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Look for Mice and other pointing devices and click it to expand.
    • Check if there is a driver for the wireless mouse.

If there is none, we suggest that you visit the manufacturer’s website of the mouse and download then install the latest mouse driver compatible to Windows 10.

Get back to us if you need further assistance.

  4. My wireless mouse resets its DPI randomly

Mouse keeps resetting its dpi every few seconds

this issue just started. i was playing battlefield few days before and suddenly in game the dpi went to its lowest setting. i didnt bother about it that much at the time as i thought i had misclicked. the dpi changing option is on the mouse it self so i
can change it any time. then once i closed the game the problem was still there. i increased my dpi again, it stayed like that for a few seconds then the LED lights on the mouse start to flash like they do when i boot the computer and the dpi is again in
its lowest form. every time i increase my dpi, after a few seconds the mouse kinda resets it self back to the lowest setting. i had a mouse before that displayed similar problems on the same laptop so i think it might the problem of my computer not my mouse.
the lights on the mouse also flash randomly even when i dont change the setting.

i have also unistalled the drivers and installed new ones but didnt change anything. i dont think i have added any software that might have affected the mouse. i have had all tmy installed softwares for a while..

    I have a HP laptop.

EDIT : so i did some digging what i did was i went to mouse setting , advanced mouse setting and disabled enhance pointer precision. and moved the pointer scale to a faster setting. now whenever i change my dpi it seems to reset it value to the point i
set in the pointer scale. this is still a problem as i cannot change my dpi at all. i cant lower it niether can i increase it beyond this point. its still the same problem but it resets its sensitivity to a higher setting now. hope this helps.
