Windows 10: My work email is asking for an authenticator code but I don't know where to find the QR...

My work email is asking for an authenticator code but I don't know where to find the QR code and cant get into my email to see hte Security link. What do I do?

I have set up several google gmail accounts and school email accounts with no problem, why does it ask for a QR code when before it didnt, there is also no place on gmail or my school to get a QR code specifically for Microsoft Authenticator.

I am being asked by Microsoft Authenticator to enter a QR code when I attempt to set up a school or google gmail account instead of being asked to enter the email address why is this like this?

I am trying to activate Microsoft Authenticator on my phone and when I go to add a school or google mail account I am asked to enter a QR code instead of being asked for the email address and password combination.
