    My Xbox Elite Controller 2 used to work fine through wired connection but now it doesn't....


    My usb Drives don't need an update. I did a full reinstallation of windows to get rid of a anti-malware that I thought could have been the cause. Now when I plug the controller in it vibrates, the home button is blinking, and I get a message that says "The last USB device you have connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows doesn't recognize it.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Unfortunately, all of these are about disconnect issue. My problem is that it doesn't even see the controller when trying to pair.

    However, I tried with me Elite 2 - and bingo, that one works flawlessly (no disconnect issues for me).

    So what I have is that

    • original controller - works
    • Elite 2 controller - works
    • Elite controller - does NOT work
    I ended up using my 'Elite 2' on PC and my 'Elite' for my Xbox

    Xbox One Elite Controller wired connection problems

    Could be your controller is damaged. WIreless controllers are the way to go. Even my old Xbox 360 controller still works after god knows how long.

    Hi, i have been running into the problem of connecting my Xbox One Elite Series 1 controller to my pc by a usb wire. I have tried many different wires and it still doesnt work and when I plug my controller in, the controller doesn't vibrate or turn on at
    all. I have tested my regular Xbox One controller with the same wire and it sometimes turns on, but I sometimes get a notification saying something is wrong with the USB. I am really stuck and I am not sure what to do to have my Xbox One Elite Series 1 controller
    to work again. I have looked into the device manager side of it and since me elite controller doesnt even respond I cant see if it is a driver issue or what. Im not sure whether it is a wire thing even though I have tried many wires, a controller thing, or
    its my pc.
