Windows 10: My xbox one controller navigates the startmeny & all settings windows

Hi folks!

Steam gives the option to use the controller as a mouse using the thumb sticks, and I like it very much. It worked fine before, but lately the controller have started to move the white square that encirkles the different icons and shortcuts in the start meny and in the different settings window. I'm talking about the settings that appears when I press the speech bubble in the most lower right part of the screen.

That is very annoying as it make it very hard to select a icon or shortcut while using my controller since if I move the thumb stick to the right to move the pointer the white square moves to the right at the same time, and when I press the "click" button on my controller it doesn't start the program that the pointer points at, it start the program that the white square encircles.

It is very annoying since it makes it very hard to use the controller as a mouse which I love to do. By the way, it isn't any problems with the control panel, my file maneger or my web browser, it is just the start meny and all the settings for the network, my display settings etc.

I have tried to uninstall all drivers for my controller and install them again but it didn't make any difference.

It is only the left thumb stick that moves the white square, the right thumb stick doesn't move it anywhere.

Is there a way to disable this "feature" of my controller so that I can use my joystick as a mouse without problems?

My windows version number is 18363.1016

Can’t connect Xbox one controller to pc
