Windows 10: My .zip Files are Automatically Deleted upon downloading from browser

I don't have a question anymore, since it took me almost a week to research and finally figure out what was going on. I'm just sharing the knowledge for others. Reference:Browser - Google ChromeAntivirus - Windows DefenderFirewall - WindowsVPN - NordVPNOperating System - Windows 11 Home basic, 64 bitI was trying to download a set of files from my personal Google drive that I personally placed in the drive, and knew that I did not have any viruses or anything that was a threat to my computer system. Every time I tried to download the files, my computer automatically deleted the .zip file before

To manually trace your downloaded files from the web, we suggest following the steps below:

• Launch Internet Explorer.
• Download the files from your online storage. Once your done downloading the files.
• Press CTRL + J, to view or track your downloads.
• Click the Folder location, like the image below:

files are automatically deleting

whenever i downloading or copying zip file in my PC they are deleting automatically.

• My storage sense is off
• I have added Exclusion for the zip file type.
• I have deleted all the windows updates ( enabled to delete some of them as window is not providing permission to do so)

If the zip files are being deleted automatically, it is Defender deleting the zip files, have you checked the list in Defender to see if it has flagged the Zip files and quarantined the zip files?

If you are completely sure those zip files do not contain malware, then you can add the folder that contains the zip file(s) to the exclusion list in Defender and it will not delete them, but you would do that at your own risk.
