Windows 10: Mysterious App Prevents Shutdown on Windows 10

So every so often I see this preventing Shutdown, The file name is Terrifying. Sync? Observer? Worried about my Security.


Please Help!


• I combed through the Task Manager, Googled every Process or App I didn't recognize, Everything is legit.

• Scanned with MalwareBytes, Nada.


this app Doesn't Exist on my PC so why does it prevent me from Shutting Down?

When I shutdown I get the message "this app. is preventing shutdown". Last night it showed 'DDES window'. I can't find what DDES window is. I went through the msconfig list and I don't see anything that seems to match. What is DDES window?

 

App preventing shutdown after 10/2017 Windows 10 update

After updating this month to the 10/2017 Windows 10 update, I am getting the following message each time I shutdown: "Reset TocuhPad this app is preventing shutdown"

Obviously the word TouchPad is misspelled as "TocuhPad"

I ran Regedit and found a reference to the misspelling; however, I don't seem to be able to edit it. Of course, I don't know if this reference is the problem.

Any suggestions? Right now I just instruct the computer to shutdown by ignoring the app. But it is an extra step that I didn't have to take before and would like to correct.

I would first of all like to repeat (for the 3rd time) that the task manager does NOT reveal the name of this mysterious anonymous app. The only app listed as running is the Task Manager itself. Attaching screen shot of this.

As for a screenshot of the Shutdown screen, you may not be aware of this but the normal manner of obtaining a screenshot ("Printscreen") does not work on a Shutdown screen. If there is another method, please let me know. In the meantime, here is a transcription
of that screen:

"Closing 1 app and shutting down.

To go back and save your work,click cancel and finish what you need to do.

This app* is preventing shutdown

Shutdown anyway (clickable rectangle) Cancel (clickable rectangle)"

Neither the System File Checker tool nor the Power troubleshooter had any effect. I still have the same annoying problem.

*(As I've mentioned mentioned before, no right or left clicking or hovering reveals the named of "this app").
