Windows 10: Mysterious drive taking up space

This myseterious RESTORED: drive appeared out of nowhere, and it's taking a lot of space - ~17gb and the fact that it's empty is so frustrating. I honestly wanna get rid of this ****...

Windows is taking up too much hard drive space.

Windows might have been accumulated large drive space due to installed apps, temporary files, or etc. For us to identify which item mostly accumulates your drive space, we suggest that you check it here:

• Click on Start.
• Type Storage, and then press Enter.
• Under Local Storage, click on This
  PC (C.
• On this window, you will see which item mot accumulate your drive space.

We also recommend that you follow the steps given on this article on how to
free up drive space in Windows 10. Click on every drop down to view the steps.

System Taking Like All of my space ._.

Windows File Explorer is not great at finding out where your hard drive space is being used . . .

• Click HERE to download a small free utility Called TreeSize.
  
• Run that utility as Administrator
• Point it to your C Drive
• Let the list of files/folders build
• Expand out the folder(s) that are taking all your hard drive space
• Please provide a screenshot of the resulting window in order for us to make a better analysis of what is happening with your system and suggest a remedy

 

Excessive mystery use of hard drive space

I previously posted about Camera Roll occasionally and suddenly working, "hiding" up to 40 GB of pics and filling up my hard drive. Apparently, camera roll is NOT the culprit. A recent reboot and my "missing" 40 GB of hard drive space was back and everything
was once again working, although over the past month it has gradually once again mysteriously filled up and now has less than 2 GB of space available. I am NOT saving anything that uses much space. The computer will "soon" be going in for an upgrade to Windows
10 (from Windows 8).

Any idea what might be causing the mysterious hard drive usage? (Note that it obviously affects many functions from working properly or at optimum levels).
