  1. Mysterious overlapping globe symbol on the screen is not deletable

There is a overlapping globe symbol on the screen, lower right corner. The "closers" don't work. The area has no window decorations (title, closer etc.). Right mouse click on it - nothing happens. Restarting windows does not help, after while it does it reappears. It covers the area below it. Giving the focus to windows works, but the area always is covered below the "globe".

    Any idea? ... Thanks!

    Mystery Symbol on 6300 Display

Hello there friendly Nokia users, have any of you come across a mystery symbol on the screen of a 6300 like mine I wonder. Two small horizontal parallel black lines have appeared near the top of the display and are just visible and present at all times
whenever the phone is on whatever it is doing. There is a fuzzy black mark also between the two lines. This symbol first appeared a few weeks ago and is growing longer each day. It is not a problem at present but the symbol now covers half the width of the
screen already so it could become a problem if its growth continues.

    Any ideas, please?

    resetting keyboard symbols

    Hi Carol,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

    a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

    b. Click on Time and Languages.

    c. Click on Region and Languages.

    d. Under the languages tab.

    e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

    a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

    b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.

Let us know if it helps or post back for further assistance, we will be glad to help.
