    Name and picture of Microsoft account not updating on PC


    Hello,I've recently changed my name and picture on my microsoft account but a few days have passed, no update has been seen on my pc and weird things happened.In the Store the picture is ok but the name is the older one, in the Settings menu the name is the right one but the picture is the old one, in the login screen and in the Settings -> Account page, name and pictures are the ones i used for the local pc account, not the microsoft account despite saying that im logged in correcly with my microsoft account.I tried many hacks suggested in this community but none worked...help

    For the steps on how to change your account picture on Windows 10, please refer to this

    In regards to changing your name on the sign in screen, it will depend whether you're signed in as a local user or signed in using a Microsoft account.

    For changing a local account user name, follow these steps:

    • Click the Start button, type User Accounts then press
      Enter.
    • Select your local account.
    • Click Change the account name.
    • Enter the new name for the account.
    • Click Change Name to complete.
    For changing a Microsoft account user name, please follow the steps below.

    • Sign in with your Microsoft account
      here      .
    • Beside your full name, click Edit name.
    • Enter the new name for your Microsoft account.
    • Click Save to complete.
    • Restart your PC.

    Hi Nathan,

    There might be some conflicts on the settings of your PC and your Microsoft account. We would like to ask some questions for clarification:

    • Did you follow the steps provided on this
      article       to change the name of your Microsoft account?
    • Have you tried checking if there available updates for your Windows 10?
    • When you said that "when I log on to my laptop the user account is still showing the old name", are you referring on the sign-in screen name?
