Windows 10: Name of Personal Vault in cyrillic in Win10/11-- an issue?

Sirs, Some years ago I noticed that the name of folder Personal Vault in OneDrive both on my desktop PC then Win10Pro, US-eng and a laptop Win10home; US-eng was in cyrillic letters; the properties said the folder’s location is “the Internet”. When I could not remove that folder I never took OneDrive in use. That odd folder is still there on my laptop. A year ago I installed on the PC a new motherboard, a CPU and upgraded to Win11Pro.How can I check if that odd folder is now there on the PC/Win11 ? Do I need to remove it – then how-to from Win11 ? -- how from Win10 ?; or is that odd fold

I already did that. A couple of times. Most recently, as follow-on steps to your recommendation to delete my Personal Vault permanantly:

1. Followed your steps to permanently delete Personal Vault on OneDrive web
   
2. On my laptop:
   
   1. Disabled OneDrive backups
      
   2. Unlink this PC
      
   3. Uninstalled OneDrive application
      
   4. Deleted OneDrive folder
      
   5. Rebooted
      
   6. Reinstalled OneDrive
      
   7. Logged back in and retried Personal Vault - same error

Mi name is Javier and I'm going to suggest you to follow the following steps:

Disable Personal Vault

Disabling Personal Vault permanently deletes any files that are in your Personal Vault at the time you disable it. You won't be able to recover these files later.

1. In your OneDrive, select Settings Settings: update your profile, install software and connect it to the cloud > Options, and then select Personal Vault from the left navigation.

2. Select the Disable Personal Vault slider to disable Personal Vault.

3. If you're sure you want to disable Personal Vault and delete all files and folders inside Personal Vault, select Disable.

4. Because disabling Personal Vault deletes your files and you won't be able to restore them, we ask you one more time. If you're sure, select Disable again.

 

Vietnamese folder name for OneDrive personal vault?

I just started using MS OneDrive on my Dutch Win10 computer.

The Personal Vault appears to correspond to a folder named Kho luú tr~u cá nhân. If I dump this into Google Translate this tells me it's Vietnamese, and translates as 'Personal Archive'.

1. Why Vietnamese?? I've never had Vietnamese software on my PC (other than maybe being installed with individual programs' language support)
   
   All language setting on my PC are Dutch, my online OneDrive 'presence' is English, some individual local programs are English.
   
2. I'm not using the personal vault/archive. Can I rename this?
   
   If I delete it, it immediately reappears.
   

Note that I have hidden/system files visible.
