Windows 10: Nameless Folder In This PC

Hello Everyone!


I can this Folder in This PC. It neither has any name nor it opens up into anything. How do I remove this?

And By the Way, if i open the Save as dialogue Box, that folder isn't visible anywhere!




And i somehow pinned that folder to the Quick Access in the Taskbar, and by doind that, i got the name of the folder as below:

How to delete nameless or ghost files in my sidebar?

Again not solved... I tried the suggestions but the nameless ghost files are still exists...

 

Creating more than one nameless folders which have the same path

I found a way to create nameless folders that have the same path. I am not sure if this is a bug. I made a research but I could not find anything about it.





While renaming a folder, if you right click the name and choose anything from "Insert Unicode control character" list, you can create a nameless folder. Furthermore, you can do this with different unicode characters but they will have the same path. However,
you still can not create with the same unicode character.





After creating nameless folders, if you try to access the folder using path, for instance, "C:\Users\nberk\Desktop\New Folder\\", you can only access one folder.

I am sure it is not a problem with my hard disk. I have tried on different computers.

 

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
