Windows 10: Narrator

It's hard for me to explain how much I dislike Narrator that comes with Windows 10 and how much I am ticked of at MS for not giving us a way to remove it. They are forcing it on us. I've done everything including deleting the file but it comes right back. I can click on it and select exit, but it has a mind or its own and comes right back. I even set the column on the voice as low as it will go, but it comes back and speaks as it d**** well pleases. I can mute my system but I still get that heavy blue line. *Mad So---does anyone have a way to get it completely out of my sight? If so I'll buy you a beer or a cup of coffee.

Narrator doesn't work

1. sfc /scannow. Showed no integrity issues.

2. Clean boot. Tried Narrator after clean boot, still got "Exiting narrator, exiting narrator, exiting, narrator..." with Narrator refusing to turn on.

Any other ideas?

 

Narrator app not working in windows 10

The title of this thread is,"Narrator App not working in Windows 10."

I appreciate the above description on how o use Narrator in system settings. However, I also have a "Narrator Desktop App" on my computer. I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Is the "Narrator App" left over from Windows 7 & should it have been deleted,
should it be deleted now, or is it part of the Windows 10 Narrator experience? Based on the title, I am wondering if the person posing the question is also using the "Narrator App", & that your answer seems to therefore not fully address the question. My experience
is that with the Narrator App on my computer, even with all Narrator settings off, the Narrator continues to Run. The Narrator App launched did change the voice but deferred to the settings as far as speech & speed, but still cant turn off Narrator. is the
App conflicting with the settings?

Do you have Narrator turned off in Settings like below?

In addition, pressing the Win+Ctrl+Enter keys will toggle Narrator on and off.

Also check .... Control Panel\Ease of Access Center ... there are a few places in there, where it could be turned on.
On the Left - Change Sign-In Options
Under the Explore All Settings - Go thru each and make sure Narrator is unchecked

 

Now this is strange. It’s OK now and I haven’t done a thing since I sent in this post. But now it won’t come on. I had previously turned it off as you mentioned but it would come back on. Now it won’t come on. So I just checked what Eagle suggested and it had the option to turn it on. So it apparently is off. Maybe the last time I turned it off in Settings I did something else but now it’s seems to be off for good. You have both got to know this. The last time I turned it off in Settings I was really pi**** off because it would get on my nerves whenever I clicked on something I heard it talking to me. So after I turned It off I said to myself, “There you dirty sun of * *****. Maybe now you keep your da** mouth shut. I really did! Do you suppose I came on to something new that has outsmarted Microsoft? *Cool*Smile

I'm not sure unless you may have mistakenly turned on Narrator with its keyboard shortcut.
