Windows 10: Navision 2018 - Deploy Security patches

Does the security patches and cumulative updates applicable to navision 2018 that went through customization?1. Our vendor said if want to apply those patches, then customization is require, meaning we need to pay for further customization.2. My understanding is Navision is a heavily customized ERP. So does this mean everytime you want to deploy patches, you need to engage vendor to do customization to make sure the patches don't cause issue with your ERP? That does not sound right. 3. If you did not apply the patches, will it put your Navision at risk?

Unable to start up Navision 2018 Desktop client application

Some of our users could not start up their Navision 2018 desktop client application since mid Dec 2021.

When they double click to launch the application, the application could not start up. There is no error message displayed.

Our Navision support vendor re-installed the Navision application and .net components many times but could not resolve the issue. The event log IDs are 1000 and 1026.

A laptop factory reset was done and it worked for 1 day. The Navision application failed to start up the following day. The vendor suspects that it could be due to a windows update relating to .net component.

Please advise how we can resolve this issue. Thank you!
