    Hi All,

I've an ASUS G750 laptop running Windows 10.

If I start trying to do any intense network CIFS I/O, the laptop randomly BSODs.

It starts doing a memory dump, gets to 100% and goes no further.

It just lists ndis.sys as the cause.

My guess is its a networking driver.

The NIC is a Qualcomm Atheros AR8171/8175 PCI-E Gigabit driver 2.1.0.21

As far as I can tell thats the latest driver I can use for the laptop with windows 10

Wondered if had any other advice to fix/diagnose the BSOD?

    :)

Here is some info that may help. May be your network driver. One of the posts suggest a program that will give more info on what crashed. Hope this helps you.

    BSOD caused by ndis.sys, NETIO.SYS and ntoskrnl.exe

  3. NDIS Drivers

    Hi,

There are different network device drivers that are supported by the Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS). An example of this is a miniport driver which manages a network interface card (NIC) such as the Wi-Fi card or the LAN card in your computer,
including sending and receiving data through the network interface card. For additional information on what type of drivers are supports by the NDIS drivers in Windows 10, kindly refer to the information available on this

    .

For more references on how to setup your mobile phone to get an Internet connection using a USB connection from your computer, we suggest that you contact the device manufacturer for the exact steps you need to complete. Take note though that this will also
depend on the model of your mobile phone if it supports that option to get an Internet connection using the USB port.

Feel free to reach out to us for further concerns.

ndis.sys BSOD Windows 10 whilst networking

BSOD while using the internet. error (L1C63x64.sys)

    Hi trainman81,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.
    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

ndis.sys BSOD Windows 10 whilst networking [IMG]

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

AVG is trying to request data from the internet, which is why the network driver is marked as the cause.

Please uninstall AVG and see if it helps
    Uninstall AVG | AVG
It is further recommended to check your Qualcomm network driver for updates, its driver is not supported for Windows 10.
