    Greetings,


    I am experiencing a very tricky issue with a brand new Lenovo L480 (thinkpad).

    I have a fresh Win10 install, with all the newest updates, however the device does not accept files through nearby sharing (I can send them, I can't receive them).


    My laptop is not even discoverable by others in the sharing UI, however it is discoverable as a Bluetooth device.

    Network is set to private and all sharing options are enabled. I am not really sure what could I be missing?


    It seems strange, that the transfer works one way only.


    Perhaps anyone has experience with this?

    Nearby Sharing

    Hi,

    I'm Diego Rios, an Independent Advisor willing to help other Microsoft customers.

    You can try the following procedures in the links below:

    Open Settings >> Click on System >> Click on Share experiences >> Turn on the Nearby sharing toggle switch.

    Also, Check if is enable Nearby sharing using Action Center:

    Open Action Center (Windows key + A).

    In the Quick actions section, click the Nearby sharing button.

    The problem was there was no switch.

    I have fixed the problem by replacing the Bluetooth dongle
