    Hello,

I have a problem with my computer. My brother installed a game and I was aware that it might have a virus. He told me the game stopped responding and he restarted it. Just a few moments after logging in, there was a black screen and my mouse pointer. I went on safe mode and it worked, I restarted again and out of luck, I had found the PC working, except that when you restart, it does the same thing. Some apps stopped working like settings, a white screen in Windows Security and some essential apps for the system, how do I fix this?

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Necessary apps will not open :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Can I customize the list of suggest apps in the "Open with" menu?

You can't use it to add additional programs, only to set default programs.

Interestingly for me it shows nothing for text files:

Then if I want to add a portable app like Jarte Plus to open with context menu windows doesn't like it.

It's not present and is near impossible to add even via "look for an app on this PC"

    OpenWithAdd to the rescue:

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hey Shawn,
I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
