Windows 10: Need advice on removing OneDrive "desktop"

The clean install of win11 put OneDrive. I do not want to use it due to a lot of stuff going into it plus I have security concerns.I selected the icon and did an unlink and then uninstalled.Looking at my disk drive I see that OneDrive\Desktop has all my desktop stuff'Other icons show "lStored locally" Downloads, Music, VideosI do not see Documents in the quick access but I can add that.I no longer see OneDrive under "Home" top left of file manager---but---Desktop is at OneDrive\DesktopHow do I get it to be at "c:\users\MyHome\Desktop"Is it possible to simply move "Desktop" up out of the

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Cannot Remove OneDrive from Desktop

Hey everybody, ran into a problem that I can't seem to fix and was hoping for some help.

I had to reinstall Windows 10 the other day and in doing so, OneDrive came up. I uninstalled it from the Control Panel, but it left an empty folder on my desktop, which appears in the toolbar as well as in Explorer.

I ran the suggested registry changes as described here: How to remove OneDrive desktop icon Solved - Windows 10 Forums

Still, nothing.

Any ideas on how I can fix this annoying issue?

Remove OneDrive

Hi .... wish to remove OneDrive from fresh install W10.....
have uninstalled it from inside Control Panel but am unnerved to find a OneDrive folder lurking in my username folder, which contains some 10GB predominantly a clone of my Desktop ... please, please could someone provide the steps necessary to completely remove it ..... thanks in advance .....
