Windows 10: Need assistance stopping virus popup

We get frequent popups about virus infections with McAfee named in the popup."E:\Bryan\FORUM_QUESTIONS\MSDN\virus_popup.png"Open the Windows Icon from the task bar, go to “All apps” and there is no antivirus software installed. Looked specifically for McAfee and Norton, not there.Open Windows explorer and look in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files x86. Neither McAfee nor Norton are at the top level of either directory.How do I get rid of these popups?I have read that Microsoft antivirus is pretty good. Tried to activate it. Instructions state to go to start menu for Secu

I would give the other 3 options mentioned in the first guide:

• STEP 3: Use HitmanPro to scan for malware and unwanted programs
• (Optional) STEP 4: Reset the browser settings to their original defaults
• (Optional) STEP 5: Double-check for malicious programs with Zemana AntiMalware

And I would start with Step 4, resetting your browser
