Windows 10: Need help activating with either activating Windows 11 Home, changing a Windows 11 Pro...

Hello,I've had the worst time trying to activate Windows 11. I upgraded from Windows 10 Education to Windows 11 Education. I didn't have the Windows Education key anymore so I bought a Windows 11 Home key. It turns out you can't use a Windows 11 Home key to activate a Windows 11 Education system...After much struggling, I managed to convert the system from Windows 11 Education to Windows 11 Pro using a generic key. But, you can't use a home key to activate a pro system either?I think there's a three ways to fix this problem:I can change the Windows 11 Pro install to a Windows 11 Home install a

Windows 11 home to Windows 11 pro upgrade by product key - not active

HI,

I bought a product key for windows 11 pro, I did install it however i get error code an not able to activate -> 0x80072EE7.

Is there a way to resolve the issue? Tried to do the phone activation but it doesnt help. Windows suggest installing windows 11 home again (which I dont want since I bought windows 11 pro).

 

Windows 11 Pro activation issue

Hi,

I have a new HP 15 laptop with an OEM Windows 11 Home edition installed.

I changed the product key via Settings>System>Activation> change Product Key to a retail Windows 11 Pro licence.

My Microsoft account identifies my device as having Windows 11 Pro installed.

The problem is the System Activation State is now 'not active' and can't activate Windows.

The error message displayed in Settings>System>Activation is as follows:

We can't activate Windows on this device because the product key was already used on another device. If you think it wasn't used on another device

select troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004C008.

The system troubleshoot completed saying 'we found a Windows 11 Home digital license for this device running Windows 11 Pro. To activate using this digital licence you need to install Windows 11 Home'.

I do not have the OEM Window 11 Home activation details other than the EFI and Recovery partition on the PC.

I have tried resetting the PC but I cannot get around this problem.

Any help would be appreciated in getting Windows 11 Pro working.
