Windows 10: Need help Classifying Sound Glitch

This is a reoccurring problem that just started recently. I had posted about it before and thought the advice that I got had fixed the problem in thispost. To reiterate, my sound will glitch at random. Usually once per computer session. It tends to happen the first time I listen to a video on my computer. Although it is very brief, it makes me nervous I'm a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to my PC. My main issue is that I don't know what to classify this glitch. I have tried looking up common examples of Windows 10 sound glitches, but came up empty. Does anybody have any sound bites of sound glitching? I need to be able to figure out exactly what to classify my glitch as, so that I may properly fix it. Also, is this problem serious? I can deal with it as long as I know that my whole system isn't failing it's about 3 years old. Any help I get will be greatly appreciated.

• What all the troubleshooting steps have you tried to resolved the issue?
• What is the exact issue are you facing with sound?
• Are you getting any error message?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to install all the latest pending Windows updates as below and check if it helps.

• Go to “settings” and click on “update and security”.
• Under tab “Windows update”, click on the icon “check for updates”.
• Then once you find the pending updates install it and check.

Sound problem

Hi,

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
