Anytime I download an iso from Microsoft's webpage it gets modified the second it is downloaded. I mean within nanoseconds that only a computer can do. The size is larger, but it does not show the larger number unless you go to properties. It would say a 5.12gb file is actually 5.50 on the properties but will not show on the folder view. In addition the "verify your download" that Microsoft has after your download DOES NOT MATCH UP. No matter if I try to initiate the install from the cloud, a USB Microsoft Onedrive, or any of my friends because it will install over a corrupt Windows PE and rei

Windows Script Host: Can not find script file "C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\svcsystem.vbs"

    Hello Nick,

This seems to be an issue related to a malware infection to your system.

A malware infection or an undesirable program could have installed a script to automatically start every time you boot up your computer. We recommend that you perform a full system scan with Windows Defender and perform a clean boot to completely remove
    the traces of the infection.

Refer to these support articles for the steps:

If the suggestions above didn't work, feel free to post back so we can further troubleshoot.

  3. Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:
    • Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
    • When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
    • Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
    • When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
    • This time enter your product key
    • When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
    • Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it
Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.

    Repair/Malware program

    Hi, @Odos270:

Agree. MBAM Free is an excellent on-demand scanner to help CLEANUP certain types of malware.
MBAM Premium is even better, for its real-time protection to help PREVENT malware infection in the first place.
But no one tool can protect/clean 100% of malware from 100% of computers 100% of the time.
There are many other good, powerful tools to help with cleanup.
From the sound of it, the OP might need more extensive work, including customized scripts and/or repairs.

It's above my pay grade to provide formal malware removal advice or system repair advice.

So perhaps one of our other forum members will step in to guide @Amadeus51.
