Windows 10: Need help for fps drops on high end pc my fps only drops on Fortnite

I have a i9 13900k, 7800xt, 32 gigs of 6000mhz ddr5 and I am having crazy fps drops in only Fortnite. I go from a consistent 500 in game to it dropping randomly to under 150 and going back up while on performance mode all low settings . I’ve already contacted epic games and they haven’t found anything to help yet. I can play forza at a consistent 300 fps on almost all high settings so my hardware is not the problem. Is there any solutions

High end PC with FPS drops. High cpu temps in Speccy

I have been dealing with fps drops while gaming for a month now, and I have tried everything to fix it. It's been driving me nuts, considering the hardware shouldn't be performing so badly. When I do a userbenchmark everything looks fine and dandy, but in game I experience stuttering.





I can mention a lot of things, but today I downloaded speccy and noticed that CPU temps show up way too high. It goes down to 74 and jumps up to 82 on a loop. I dont know what's going on.

Please help!



I have an AIO Kraken x62 and their software is showing a different and much better temperature.





If the temperature is indeed over 80C on idle, that would explain all of my performance issues in game.

I'm looking forward to getting some assistance. I have been getting depressed recently when i'm in the mood for gaming, and end up stopping and spending hours looking for a fix instead. I've been doing so for the past weeks almost everyday. I couldn't figure out the issue, but maybe speccy has revealed the answer. Or is it an incorrect reading?

Fortnite FPS Problems

It was a little confusing to me because I spent quite a bit of time researching the issue and then saw that you had only rated my post unhelpful. I was hoping to get back the detailed results I requested so I had more to go on to help you further.

Earlier you said this was no longer isolated to Fortnite and that other games seemed stuck on 60 FPS instead of 140. So I gave you fixes for that known issue.

Now you're saying again that the issue is isolated again to Fortnite only. Is this due to any of the fixes for 60 FPS or others I gave? If so do you remember which fix worked for the others, or what changed exactly that made the problem isolate to Fortnite?

I've gone back over this and find these additional fixes to try that are working for others for low FPS in Fortnite. Take your time to make sure you do all of them until one works, because time and again when someone comes back to say they found the fix later, it turns out it was in the original steps I had given:

PC performace and random FPS Drops and LAG

My PC has been doing this weird thing.... it keeps on having random FPS drops, I usually run at 60 FPS on Fortnite and higher, now every 5 or 3 minutes my game stops and slows down to 30 or 20 FPS and lags,, then goes back to normal and this happens constantly
please help I'm desperate...
