    Need help from the Windows gurus out there. Having problems with windows shell hanging...


    Before I had a stroke, I used to be a Windows master guru. Now, I can't handle fixing the simplest of problems. This past month or so, Windows shell has been acting buggy: while looking through a long directory explorer would hang and revert to the start of the directory, sometimes windows in the background will pop into the front, icons in the task bar randomly rearrange. It usually gets worse if I leave it on for too long and restarting explorer.exe will fix the problem for awhile same as rebooting the laptop. I suspected a virus so I restored Windows from the system image and the problem has come back. Did a /scannow and a DISM scan and restore, did a winsock reset and all the other useless things MS suggests to no avail. Nothing unusual in the error logs. Could something from my profile have transferred from my outlook.com info? Could it be something from my firefox profile that came over with google sync? I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Windows Update suddenly hangs?

    Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

    I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?

    Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
