Windows 10: Need help! I accidentally merged the Downloads Folder and the Documents folder while...

As the title says, I accidentally merged the Downloads folder with the Documents folder while redirecting the location of the folders from the C:/ to D:/ drives. I can't use File History to restore it. I can't move them back to previous locations or restore the folders to previous versions. It says they are not available. I also can't seem to find the Documents and Downloads folder in my User folder. It won't let me create new folders in my User folder either because it will just automatically merge with the existing one with a different path D:/. I tried restoring the User file to

I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

Step 1:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Download folder.
• Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

Step 2:

Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Documents folder.
• Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
• In Properties go to Location tab.
• In location Tab Click on Restore Default.

After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

I tried restoring the User file to a previous version and it didn't fix the issue...

I've looked at a lot of answers for Windows 7 and 8.1. I have Windows 10, not sure if it makes a huge difference.

HELP! Was moving around and accidentally merged user folder and documents folder

See the thing is that my documents folder IS where I want it to be. Just that my user folder is currently mimicing a Documents folder due to the accidental merge. (as shown in the photo attached)

As I mentioned originally, I had already restored my documents folder. My music, video and downloads folder are stored on a different disk altogether so those folders are fine.

At this point all i'm trying to figure out is how I restore my user folder back from registering as a documents folder

for clarification of the image, the properties window is coresponding to the user folder open in the background which as can be seen in the address bar is showing 'documents' however if I were to click on the addresss bar it would show the same directory at C:\Users\Adonis. The Documents folder highlighted is the correct document folder which is perfectly fine
