    Need Help, I Can't Log Into Windows 10 On Virtual Box


    Hello All,
    I did a clean install of Windows 10 on a virtual machine I can not log in. I only get as far as the log in screen, I can't get any further. I have been trying using a Microsoft account option because obviously I have never created a local account. I have tried unsuccessfully with my Microsoft account information, and I can't log in at all, it says that my password is incorrect, even though I just changed my password. Any advice is welcome.

    As a note, the Windows 10 is currently updated with all updates, I was able to do that without logging in.

    Another note. I also run Linux Mint on a Virtual Machine and there is no problems with that.

    Keyboard stops when switching accounts

    Windows 10 x64 Build 10586

    Whenever I switch user, keyboard stops working. Upon logging into the second account, I can't type anything, anywhere.

    To switch back to my first account, I can't type in the login box, and need to use the virtual keyboard. I need to log out from both accounts to be able to use the keyboard again on the login screen.

    Windows 10 program compatibility and dual booting

    Have you tried running the program in compatibility mode. You could use a dual boot or a virtual machine. I use Virtual box to run XP on Windows 10. For either Windows XP or Windows 7 you need to have a valid key to install the OS into a virtual machine.
    You can't use the key for Windows 7 that was used to upgrade to Windows 10.
