    I recently upgraded my M.2 NVMe SSD and attempted to clone the the old drive to the new one. My computer refused to recognize the cloned drive, so eventually I gave up and tried for a fresh install.What wound up happening instead was that Windows Recovery began installing to the drive I use for my documents. The moment I realized what was happening I aborted the installation.I finally managed to get the new NVMe working with a fresh install running. And, fortunately, I was able to restore the deleted partition in my Documents drive. However, when I attempted to access the files, I had to f

    Are the step-by-step processes identical? That is, the folder extracted from and the folder extracted to belong to the same hierarchical file system structure. If they are, that suggests mildly the Cumulative Update left an electron or two out of place.

    Thanks pyramid10 for your contribution, I ensured that the steps taken and the source and destination folders were the same, in the using zip7 as suggested by BunnyJ resolved all issues for me.
    I am the first to admit that I am a long long way from understanding the intricacies of computers and if truth be told I am now to old anyway to absorb much information.

    How to change location of MSI????.tmp file

    Hi,

    You may change the location of the .tmp file by following the steps provided below:

    • Go to This PC.
    • Right-click This PC, and then select Advanced System Setting.
    • Click Environment Variables.
    • Under system variable, double-click tmp and change the path for the file of your reference.
