Windows 10: Need help/info about Realtek on my laptop.

I have recently purchased an Acer Aspire laptop (a315-55g), the overall audio quality is pretty bad from speakers and decent from the audio jack, i remember my old laptop had an equalizer and could control everything about the sound, there's none here.

My audio device shows up as Realtek(R) Audio and not Realtek High Definition Audio; updating the HD driver from the Realtek website makes the sound disappear and shows Realtek High Definition Audio as not successfully installed.

Downloading the (one and only) HD driver from the Acer website gets recognized as Realtek(R) Audio but plays no sound. Realtek High Definition Audio is listed in hidden devices and "unplugged"

The computer only let's me use only the ones provided by windows updates.

Also my headphones when plugged in are not detected as new device in audio manager.

Could my device be incompatible with the High definition driver? seeing that the only drivers on the Acer website for my computer are the high definition ones makes me completely ditch this option.

GPUz Incorrect Info GF117

I've got the GT620M in a Zenbook and the newest version of GPUz has it listed as a 40nm part whereas all other info on the web suggests its 28nm. Can you investigate, W1z?

Modding Realtek + Dolby Home Theater driver to install on any laptop

So, my laptop (Lenovo Legion Y520) uses the Realtek audio driver, which comes in combination with the Dolby Audio (DAX2) app. However, I don't like the official driver for my laptop much (distorted sound), so I would like to install a different driver. I've tried downloading the audio drivers for some of the Thinkpad models, which come bundled with Dolby Home Theater or Advanced Audio. However, when I install such a driver on my laptop, I do not get the Dolby Home Theater functionality or app. I've also tried editing those Thinkpad drivers' .inf file by adding my sound chip Hardware ID to the list of supported audio devices. But still I do not get Dolby Home Theater.

So, is there a way to mod those Thinkpad drivers (or some other drivers) to get Dolby Home Theater funcionality along with the Realtek Control Panel? I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
