Windows 10: Need help on fixing some issues with updating and the store

So a few days ago I opened Minecraft and it wasn't loading, tried closing and opening it again numerous times but that didn't seem to fix it. So I uninstalled Minecraft and tried installing it again and that's when I saw that it didn't want to install anymore and it was stuck on starting download. Shutting down hasn't done anything so that's out the window. I tried resetting the store app and that didn't do anything.

Then I went to check for updates but now that doesn't work either and whenever I click one of the 4 options on the update page it just freezes the settings app. I tried the troubleshooter but that has never helped me so why would it now. Unfortunately, because I'm dumb I disabled the restore points so there is no going back. And if I wait long enough to check update it gives me a 0x80080005 error code. At this point, I'm not quite sure on what I have to do to fix this.

If anyone has any advice on what to do please tell me

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with store troubleshooter. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Windows update.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Windows store troubleshooter and Windows update troubleshooter.

• What is the exact issue are you facing with sound?
• Are you getting any error message?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?
