Windows 10: Need help recovering bitlocker recovery key

Recently I've encrypted a flash drive with bitlocker. Somehow I must have deleted the recovery key, and the password I wrote down for it does not work. I must have transcribed the password wrong. My computer was logged into this account so I think it should save to my account, however, when I go on to my microsoft account, the bitlocker password does not show up. Can anyone please assist with this? Does it take time for the password to show up on your microsoft account?
