  1. Need help removing old OS from HDD to SDD

I have just got a new ssd and been trying for a few hours to try and get the os system onto this new drive. I have tried going into bios and changing the order but the new ssd is not showing. I’ve fully reset my pc and used the media link via usb flash drive I installed following another post and the same problem persists with OS being on the old driver. Even tried the boot partition and still no luck. It’s becoming rather frustrating as there is no simple answer online.

    :)

  2. SDD and a HDD windows 10

I have Windows 10 installed on a 525gb SDD. I have a 1tb HDD that I'm using for my data. I've been reading a lot of conflicting tweaks to use on the SDD. Help!

    1. Should I eliminate the swap on the SDD? I do a have a windows managed swap file on the HDD.

    2. Should I turn off indexing on the SDD?

    3. Should I turn off system restore on the SDD?

Most of the articles I've been reading have been a couple of years old. I know that the current SDDs are better but do these same tweaks apply now?

Any info and suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks

  3. HDD to SDD OS transfer

I am trying to clone (or even image) my 1TB-HDD to a Kingston 120GB-SDD. Space is not issue as I'm only using 70GB on the HDD. My problem is sector size. My HDD sectors are 512 (not 512e) and the SDD sectors are 4096. I'm also unable to use my system image/backup
because it is on a HDD with the same sector size (512). I've tried a number of cloning programs, including Macrium Reflect, with no success. Is there a way around this?

  4. Need help removing old OS from HDD to SDD

DPC Watchdog Violation after switching HDD to SDD

My system is HP Envy bp100 with 1TB HDD and Intel optane memory.

After all analysis and based on manufacture spec replaced SDD by removing HDD and octane memory slot with new SSD.

It was working well for 15 days after that it started giving me blue screen with watchdog violation error.

I have formatted my SSD and I did fresh windows 11 install but no luck.

Then I replaced storage back with my old HDD and installed windows 11 again but still same issue.

I tried all steps from all threads but no use.

Can anyone help me to get rid of this issue.

    Thanks

    Jag.
