Windows 10: Need help renaming multiple files in their own folder. Windows keeps adding “(1)” to every file

I am trying to play my backed up gamecube games on a hacked wii and the Wii only recognizes games if they are titled “game.iso”
I already used a command batch file to make the files have their own folder with their respective game names but when I used the “.” search option and tried to rename all the files at once to “game.iso” they were instead all changed to “game (1). iso”
It isn’t an issue of the files needing unique names because all the files use the number 1. If there is any way to change this without manually going into every file and deleting the ” (1) “ It would be awesome to know how to do for this backup and also future backups

Gathering Names Of Multiple Files

Is it possible to get the names of multiple files and paste them in to Notepad or Word or something?

Not sure how clear that is - I've got a folder with lots and lots of films from holidays etc. I've spent ages renaming them all to something meaningful (Other than Mov0001, Mov0002 etc etc)
Unfortunatly, at the time, I didn't think to copy and paste the names in to a file as I did each one. But now people want to know what things I've got - so I want a list of all the names without having to type each one out seperately.

Any ideas?

File renamer utility?

Is there a good file renamer utility that's safe to use anyone could recommend? I used to use Gizmo's list for app suggestions but this particular application has not been reviewed in several years, so I don't know if those apps are safe to use or not.

I have many files I need to rename but keep the individuality of the names. For instance, I need to rename all files in a particular folder from yyyy.mm.pdf to AMEXyyyy.mm.pdf keeping the yyyy.mm data unique. Another folder has a ton of files that need to be renamed from yyyy.mm.pdf to Visayyyy.mm.pdf.

I had all this figured out a month or so back but have already forgotten how I did it using an arcane script in either cmd prompt or powershell, I can't remember which. And now I'm drawing a blank how to do it. Again. smh. So I thought a nice freeware file renamer might help me out.
