Windows 10: Need help to create Macrium Rescue Media Builder

Windows Home 10 v2004 x64
Macrium Reflect v7.2.5107 Home - 5th August 2020

Last time I make a Macrium Reflect Rescue Media was in September 2007, and I think the GUI has change a little or I do not remember How I did it *Sad

I do not want Macrium download anything from their servers, I want to make a Macrium Rescue Media Builder offline

When this message appears do I have to browse for my pe10_1709x64.zip?




If yes, why Do I have to select the Windows Image File Toolset?



Finally, Do I have to check ViBoot?
I do not understand what this option does

I have a suggestion. You advise restoring from a Macrium Image from within Macrium Rescue Media rather than from within Windows itself (that is, not with the normal desktop showing). It seems to me that would have to be be done without access to your tut (which is online). I have therefore printed it out on paper and filed it away. I suggest you might like to consider putting a note about that at the end of Part 5 of your tut.

It is really very helpful to have well illustrated step-by-step tuts like this. Thanks for all your efforts.

 

Macrium Reflect v7 wont make rescue media (iso or USB)

The default in 7.2 is to make WinRE media because that requires no download, the WinRE recovery environment is copied from your recovery partition. The .wim file is built in the 'staging area' which is c:\boot\macrium. Details here:

Your waiklog.txt has several entries where dism tries to mount a .wim from the staging area and reports:Error: 183
Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
This suggests the is a problem in the staging area. If you continue to fail making RE or PE rescue media, try deleting the staging area folder. Macrium will recreate it when you next run the rescue media builder. If you stiil can't build media, look to see if a 3rd-party AV may be blocking access to the c: drive.
