Windows 10: NEED HELP TO EXTEND MY SCREEN TO LAPTOP WINDOWS 10/11

So main pc is a dell G5 5000 running the latest windows 11 and my laptop is a dell Inspiron 15 3000 running on the latest windows 10.So when I try to cast my screen to extend it's not showing up when i click detect on my main pc. I do the window open for it to detect but it still doesn't work. The wireless display app on my main pc says version 10.0.22621.1 and on my laptop, which is called the connect app but the same thing, says it's version 10.0.19041.1023 So my question is how do I fix this is there a way of updating it or is there just no way of connecting to it wirelessly because of wind

Screen Extend on 2 laptops not working

Hi, I recently tried extending my current laptop screen to the 2nd laptop using "Project this PC" option on Windows 10. -I watched several tutorials from YouTube but still didn't work. -It seems the laptops discovery mode on the both Laptops was failing. -I rebooted the laptops and toggled the settings in display property, pressing Windows + P to bring the extend Screen options and this is the step where both PCs were failing to get discovered. -Both laptops are using Windows 10. Same Wifi internet. -I also installed separate App from Asus called "GlideX" which is specifically designed to share/extend screens on Asus or any other laptop/ mobile device but that also failed. -In project this PC at display setting there is option to screen share if "pc is plugged in" I unchecked that also but still not available. After taking extensive steps now I am looking forward to get feedback from professionals?

 

Extending Screen to Laptop

Pressing MS KEY + P brings up PROJECT which shows display options PC screen only, Duplicate, Extend, Second screen only. After selecting Extent I then click on the “Connect to a wireless display”. Then I select my laptop that is listed.

That has worked well in the past, but the during a session a few days ago the connection dropped and I have not seen my laptop in the list since.

I have not found any steps to take that actually address this issue.

 

Extending Screen to Laptop

Have extended Windows 10 PC screen wirelessly to Win 10 Laptop, but it stopped functioning. Now when I press MS key + P the laptop does not show in the list for wireless display. Both are on the same home private network.

What am I missing?
