  1. Need help troubleshooting IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hello people. I am not very experienced in viewing dump files, but I have been having an absolutely mind numbing issue when I attempt to play a game called squad, which has always worked in the past for me with the few and far between issues that crop up. Essentially I cannot load into a game without the game either crashing or restarting my computer all together leaving a dumb file related to IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a).

I have installed WinDbg in an attempt to figure out what is going on at the core of all this. It appears to me I may have a faulting driver but I can't seem to pin point a way to solve this.

Now, my computer had been crashing constantly and I took it to a micro center and it was diagnosed that my computer had bad RAM. The RAM was replaced and I still am having BSOD issues with similar if not the same stop codes as before, but maybe less frequently. I had also replaced my system drive from HDD to SSD and replaced the PSU with a 750W EVGA gold.

    Specs are as follows...
    i5 7600k no overclock
GTX1070 overclocked (tested with and without overclock same issues)
Gigabyte Z270X-ultra gaming updated to most recent bios.
    1TB samsung 860 evo, 500gb 860 evo, 500gb 850 evo.
    16GB RAM GSkill Ripjaw @ 3200MHz

I hope someone can help me with this issue as this is my favorite game and can't play it anymore. =(

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: ffff9e0985d69571, memory referenced
    Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL
    Arg3: 0000000000000000, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)

  2. Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    New FF - passwords

    Hi:

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode | Firefox Help

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    Thanks,
    MM
