Windows 10: Need help!! Unable to see some default apps after patch update

Hello Everyone, My name is Kaliswaran, actually I was trying to update Win 11 21H2 version with recent February patch update and sysprep the machine, but when I try to boot the machine again in Audit mode, I am unable to see some of default applications like calculator, paint, snipping tool etc. But if I try to create any local user profile, there I can able to get all applications without issues. So anyone please kindly help on this. so as I mentioned, Once I am done with Patch update, then only I am facing with this issue, earlier without patch update I can able to see all applications fine

Hi, I don't have Acrobat installed. With Sumatra as my default pdf reader, that hyperlink to a pdf docoument opens in.. yes.. Sumatra. Changing to Edge:




the hyperlink opens in... yes.. Edge.

If, as seems the case, Bluebeam is correctly associated with pdf files, I can't say why the hyperlink fails. Your guess about the protocol may be right- I don't know. If you could make any change to that to test that theory, as you suggest, that would help.

If you wish to view the relevant registry key, a convenient way to get there is via free Filetypesman - a rt click option.

 

Default apps are not working in Windows 10

Lost default photo viewer after profile rebuild

Thanks Brink. I've tried those steps before i started searching Google. After the profile rebuild i don't have the Photo app listed to choose to make it default in either the system settings for default apps or the Open With option.

I can't even find it doing a search. Seems to have been removed somehow with the profile rebuild, which doesn't make sense.

Might be helpful to list what i've done I've done the open with check, the choose default program in the system menu, tried that in device manager default programs also. I've checked the programs and features Turn windows features on/off and it's not listed there (never thought it was but that was a suggestion), searched the MS Store, it's not listed there either.

I don't like playing in the registry unless i have defined steps and haven't found anything for this yet, just the Win7 version like in my OP.
