    Need Help. USB Microphone sounds terrible muffled, quiet, not right at all


    Hello. I have a HyperX Quadcast USB Microphone. Every know and then when playing back my videos, my voice audio quality changes from crystal clear to trash. It’s not the mic, it is clear on a different laptop. I have an Acer Neo 16 and have tried pretty much everything. This happened once before and it had to do with an AI setting turned on. I found the setting by accident and have no idea where it is now. The properties tab in the sound control panel for the Quadcast has not been fruitful either. Ive tried all USB ports and i think it’s just my computer being weird or Windows 11. Any help is

    Headset microphone sounds muffled, quiet, and plays desktop audio through it.

    I have a headset that works fine on another device, but for some reason on my desktop, no matter what port I use, all the audio from the desktop gets played through the microphone and the microphone is really quiet and muffled. The only way you can hear
    anything from the microphone is boosting the volume to the maximum allowed. I have tried reinstalling drivers, windows, disabling and configuring all sorts of options in the sound control panel and nothing fixes it, does anyone know how to solve this?

    my microphones are quiet

    i have a Okeyn Condenser Sound Microphone [Noise Cancellation] USB Stereo Mic + Desktop Stand + Sponge Cover for PC Mac Laptop Skype Recording, Gaming, Singing and Video Chat Plug and Play.
    i am trying to record a song on audacity, but its being temperamental and quiet any suggestions??

    Windows 10 problem - microphone too quiet.

    Hi,

    Thanks for replying.

    Pleas follow the steps to run Microphone troubleshooter.

    • Type troubleshooting in search.
    • Open it and click on view all on left side.
    • Find Recording Audio and run it and check if it helps.
    One more thing I would suggest you to check in program and features if you have any sound or recording application installed by Lenovo.

    If yes I suggest either disable it or remove it and check if it helps.
