Windows 10: Need help using memory bitmaps in a graphics application

Hi. I am writing a Mandelbrot Set program. The algorithm is quite simple, but it takes 6 seconds to paint the window. I was told that SetPixel is a utilization hog, and that i should use a memory bitmap to directly manipulate the pixels therein and then to select the bitmap into the dc.Problem is that I don't know how to do that. Can someone, please, show me code that allows me to do what I need to do. Thank you.

It can be caused by malwares. Some bitmap files are know to contain virus specially if you downloaded a file from an untrusted website. As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest that you perform a full antivirus scan on your PC using Windows Defender
or any third-party antivirus apps that you have and see if it will help delete the files.
