Windows 10: Need help! Win10 Pro, No local Admin, No Netlogon

Hey everyone,



So I have a situation with a Dell laptop running Windows 10 that is connected to our domain at work. Here is the breakdown, as per usual there are no local admin accounts on the system (local admin disabled by default) for some odd reason the Netlogon service has been set to Manual and will not start. I found that this is caused by Dells Support assistant I believe (Thank you for that Dell) So we now have a system that cannot communicate with the server for GP updates, the user account does not have any kind of admin privileges so we are kind of stuck! I can't log in with any admin accounts because the laptop can't reach the server to authenticate and I can't turn on the local admin account because I need user rights to turn it on.



Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas what I can do before we even think about Nuking it. We really don't want to do this because it has some Automation software that is no longer in use and we can't seem to find it on the net and the company no longer supports it or distributes it. So Nuking it would be the absolute last course of action we would be taking here.

Creating a local account in Win10 pro

How do I create a local account in Win10 Pro? I've created local accounts on my laptop with Win10 Home by

• Select ' Accounts'> 'Family & other users'.
• 'Add someone else to this PC'
  
  and then going through the account creation process, however my Win10 Pro doesn't have the option for Accounts'> 'Family & other users'. and I can't find a way of creating the account.

 

Local Admin can't delete folder, can't take ownership, can't change ACL

I have a folder in Win10 Pro (no AD) that cannot be deleted by a local admin (tried with (2) different local admin accounts). I cannot take ownership of the file. I cannot change listed permissions. I have tried Admin:CMD and Adminowershell options.
Totally stuck. Any direction is appreciated.

 

admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

Hi guys,

I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.
