    100% disk usage

    The most common cause of 100% disk usage appears to be Superfetch and Prefetch, but there are also other causes. You can try disabling both these features and see if it helps.

    100% disk usage

    I have tried every possible way to fix this issue of disk going to 100% usage at an idle state. Disabling superfetch, windows search have resulted in no use. I have also tried to disable useless services but nothing works. Once it reaches 100% disk usage,
    it freezes. Please help...

    P.S. it is definitely a software issue

    1. How did you know that your Disk usage is 100% when its in sleep/idle?

    2. Are you facing and performance issues?



    As per the information that you have provided, I suggest that you update your PC and check. Also check by disabling any apps or software that might be running on the background when the PC is in sleep.
