    Need help with a fault that freezes, eventually needing to force shutdown, my laptop.


    My laptop has been freezing ,eventually needs to be force shut-downed, several times a day, at random interval, for almost 3 weeks now. I am desperately in need of help. Checked my event viewer and I noticed that right before I force shutdown my laptop an application error happens.

    This is what it says:

    This error happens almost 20 times consecutively on on the event viewer, with different Report Ids each time. All of them have an Event ID of 1000 and has a task category of (100). There have been at least 33,000 of events that happened on my event viewer. I assume almost 70% of it is this error.

    Original title: my laptop wont shutdown.

    I go through the process and it freezes so i have to a force shutdown, even if try to put it sleep

    How to force shutdown on laptop lid close ?

    I want to force a shutdown when the user close the laptop lid even if MSWord is open and the document was not saved.

    Recommended action after force shutdown

    I just curious, if my windows got freeze and I need to force shutdown. What's the recommendation action after I force it to shutdown(by hold the power button)? Because, It obviously harmful for the hardware.
