Windows 10: Need help with access control corrupted

Hi. I've been continuously for over a year having issues with an error on some of my files and folders in it's advanced security settings in which it says that my "users" access control entry is corrupted. I know the basic way of fixing it in the advanced security settings by going in it and deleting the "users" on that file/folder so the corrupted entry isn't on it. If I have to change the owner of the file/folder so I can do so then I do that as well, and then switch it back. If I have to disable inheritance to remove "users" then I can do that also. But what I need help with is that it just

Access Control Entry is Corrupt

I have the same problem. I bet most people do, if they happen to look. Microsoft is not answering this question, and, yes, I have tried all of their runaround suggestions. The question is simple: how do I delete and create a new access control entry after
it becomes corrupt?

 

Controlled Folder Access

Hi.

I've been using Controlled Folder Access recently but I'm having a problem getting one application to change/create files. I use doPDF8 to create PDF files, but when CFA is active, it won't save my work. The notice explaining that something has tried accessing the folder only comes up once. (I assume that if you don't do anything about it, the program trying to access the file is put on the 'black list'.) Turning CFA off and then on again causes the notice to appear once more. However, the notice seems to suggest that it is C:\Windows\splwow64.exe that is trying to access/create the file, but when I put this into the 'allow app control' list, it still doesn't work. The only way I can find to get the PDF file created is to turn off CFA, create the file and then turn it back on again.

Any ideas?

Unable to Access Control Panel in Windows 10

As you are facing issue accessing the Control Panel, do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Were you able to see any error message/ error code with this issue?
• What exactly happens when you press Windows + X keys from the keyboard and click on
  Control Panel?

Step 1: I suggest you to log-out from the current user account, restart the computer, try to log-in to the same user account and check if the issue persists.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to place the computer in Safe mode, try to access Control Panel and check if the issue persists.
